St George’s Hall is widely regarded as one of the finest neo-classical buildings in the world and is a Grade I listed building. It was reopened in 2007 by Prince Charles after a £23m refurbishment programme.

Built in the early 1800s as a space for music festivals and the Civil and Crown courts, the hall has always been at the heart of community life in the city. Today they host exhibitions, tours and talks, corporate events and weddings both large and small in a selection of beautiful rooms for hire.

St George’s Hall is a unique and popular choice for any conference or corporate event, with a wide range of facilities that allow for flexibility and creativity. This Grade 1 listed building hosts a range of fantastic spaces, the largest being the Great Hall with its impressive chandeliers, stained glass windows and magnificent barrel vaulted ceiling. Whilst the venue is taken care of, you can also rest assured their catering team will provide you with mouth watering menus and bespoke catering solutions for any event.

St George’s Hall provides a beautiful setting in which to get married and host your celebration, with magnificent gardens that give a stunning backdrop for your wedding photographs. They can offer tailor-made packages to suit all budgets and preferences. They will write bespoke menus or carefully plan your drinks reception to make your day or a perfect one.

  • The breathtaking Concert Room, a magnificent circular room in cream and gold, with truly staggering artistry, can seat up to 500.
  • The room features a large Victorian stage originally designed to accomodate an orchestra with excellent acoustics. They also have a Steinway piano.
  • A number of smaller rooms and suites are available to hire, either separately or as breakout/Green Rooms. Each room has great views and all are ideal for seminars and smaller meetings.
  • The Great Hall can host up to 600 dining or 800 for a drinks reception and you can opt to have the famous Willis Organ played for a grand bridal entrance.
