HAC Armoury House Venue Hire EC1
The finest corporate, private & sporting events venue in the City of London- Armoury House, which is the home of the HAC, was built to replace a smaller seventeenth- century armoury. The HAC is quite unlike any other City venue; a magnificent Georgian house set in a five acre garden hidden away in a quiet location just a couple of minutes walk from Moorgate.

Inside this unique, historic London venue offers a wide variety of event spaces for everything from conferences, meetings and awards dinners to summer and Christmas parties and of course wedding ceremonies and receptions. From small meeting rooms for 10 people through to the Prince Consort Rooms which seats up to 400 guests, the HAC is able to offer the perfect setting for every type of event.

Outside, the stunning five acre Artillery Garden provides the ideal backdrop for all these events as well as being available to hire for sports such as cricket, rugby, softball and football as well as company fun days, team building and barbecues. The HAC Artillery Garden also boasts an impressive setting for summer and Christmas parties for up to 2,000 guests in the purpose built marquee!

The HAC’s exciting new £6.5 million conference and events venue was officially opened by HM The Queen on May 18th 2007 and since then it has become one of the most popular and versatile venues in the City of London. Contemporary and modern yet incorporating elements of the HAC’s history, the Prince Consort Rooms are an exceptionally sleek and stylish venue with great character.

The venue has 7 beautiful event spaces to host your next function in, with the largest space, Prince Consort Room, built to the highest specification and with the needs of the modern event organiser in mind:

  • An in-built atmospheric lighting scheme which includes remote controlled pinspot lighting and LED colour change uplighters.
  • Complimentary secure, wireless broadband internet access.
  • Flexible space that can be used as one large room seating up to 450 theatre style or 400 for dinner or divided into smaller areas.
  • All the benefits of the HAC’s magnificent City location.
  • A separate courtyard entrance ensuring privacy and security
  • Attractive courtyard garden for drinks and barbecues.

The Prince Consort Rooms lend themselves equally well to a conference or awards lunch as to a summer or christmas party or a wedding reception. We offer excellent value summer and Christmas packages. Check out the relevant sections of the website for more details.

Other flexible meeting spaces include:

  • Long Room -elegant, oak panelled room is steeped in the rich history of the HAC. Huge picture windows allow fantastic views of the Artillery Garden and out to the City of London beyond. With candles lit, soft lighting and musicians playing from the minstrels’ gallery above, it is a hugely atmospheric setting for all types of events. This room will comfortably seat up to 160 guests at round tables
  • Ante Room– The Ante Room, on the ground floor, is an extremely attractive, light and airy meeting room with enormous windows which look out onto the Artillery Garden and to the City of London beyond. Seating up to 50 guests theatre style.
  • Queen’s Room – this lovely room is on the ground floor of historic Armoury House. With very high ceilings and huge windows looking out on to the Artillery Garden the room feels spacious and airy making it ideal for meetings, lunches or dinners. The Queen’s Room can be hired on its own or in conjunction with the Ante Room across the hallway.
  • Court Room – Several of the Company’s treasures are on display here, including a C16th suit of tilting armour. The Court Room is generally only hired as a venue for pre dinner drinks before guests move through to the Long Room.
  • Medal Room–  As the name would suggest, this room is lined with many of the medals awarded to members of the HAC over the years. Most have been donated to the Company either by the soldiers themselves or their proud families. The Medal Room can be hired for small lunches or dinners of up to 20 guests,
  • Library & Boardroom–  The Library and Boardroom are housed in the Sergeant’s Cottage which was built in 1850. They were completely refurbished to a very high standard as part of the Prince Consort Rooms development in 2007. These two lovely rooms work extremely well together for a meeting, lunch or dinner for up to 12 guests.
