We have over 25 years of experience in running corporate events for both large organisations and SMEs. We are committed to delivering the best possible customer service, so you know
you will be in very safe hands. In addition to our corporate business we are also an ideal venue for private evets such as weddings, birthday parties and celebrations. With event management, AV, lighting and catering all in house, and a friendly team with years of experience, H.G. Wells Conference & Events Centre is spectacular for any shape or size event. We will work with you to design and manage your event, right down to the last detail. Your dedicated Event Manager, Event Assistant and catering team are here to make sure everything goes smoothly and seamlessly. Leaving you to sit back, relax and enjoy a fantastic event.

In addition to our experience, high service levels and fantastic catering we are also at the top of our game when it comes to the technical side of events. We have comprehensive sound and conference display systems, on-stage and front-of-stage lighting, an in-house technician, digital signage and as of May 2016 we also have the ability to offer webcasting. Located in the heart of Woking town centre we are a two minute walk from Woking train station (20 minutes to Clapham Junction, 23 minutes to Waterloo) and our nearest motorway connections are the M25, M3 and A3 making us easily accessible for London and the home counties.

We have 6 impressive event spaces from our large Wells Suite with extensive AV to our Ogilvy Room for ideal for smaller meetings and training.

The Wells
This versatile, modern space can be transformed from a blank canvas into anything you wish. The Wells Room comes complete with a stage, bar, sophisticated lighting rig, high ceiling and a powerful sound system. With capacity of up to 600 delegates theatre style, the Wells Room is one of the largest event spaces in Woking.

The Kemp
The Kemp room offers you a comfortable, contemporary and flexible space situated on the first floor. Complete with a bar, air conditioning, a wedding license, built in screen (8ft x 23ft), internet access and PA system, this room can be transformed to suit any type of event

The Griffin
Located on the first floor is our modern Griffin Room which is carpeted throughout with a warm décor. This space is often used in conjunction with the Wells and Kemp rooms but is also ideal for stand-alone events such as presentations, lunches or networking events.

The Ogilvy
The Ogilvy Room can cater for up to 60 people and is ideal for training seminars, presentations or civil weddings. Equipped with a wedding license, PA system, screen, internet access and telephone, the Ogilvy is ideal for smaller functions and has natural daylight or the option to black out.

The Elphinstone
One of our smaller meeting rooms — ideal for board meetings, interviewing or training and can accommodate up to 10 delegates. This room can also be used as an office or administration room connected to a large event or as a break out room to supplement the bigger rooms.
