ABOUT THE CUTTING ROOM
Before being lost to time, The Cutting Room was an ornate vintage cinema where workers would gather to watch a picture together at the end of a hard weeks graft. Now restored to its decorative former glory and enhanced with the latest in audio visual technology, The Cutting Room is once again a space to gather with friends or colleagues and immerse yourself in the surrounding sights and sounds.
The Cutting Room takes design hues from screening rooms of the past with beautiful tiered red velvet cinema seating and a separate lobby area for guests to gather in. The wooden panelling and soft furnishings sit elegantly alongside eye catching copper tiling and signature lighting that help set the elegant but authoritative tone of the space.
The room features fixed seating for 48 guests to enjoy screenings and meeting presentations on a huge 98 inch screen with accompanying digital surround sound and immersive LED lighting. This quirky and enviable environment will help make product launches, small conferences and company briefings the highlight of any industry event calendar.
ABOUT THE SAMPLE ROOM
In its former guise The Sample Room was an area made for invention where the latest alcoholic creations were tried and tested before being unleashed on the general public of yore. Now, with a new lease of life, this exquisitely stylish space is still an area where creative thinking is encouraged, ideas are born and the odd libation or two must still be tested (for research purposes only of course!).
The Sample Room is an atmospheric fusion of contemporary design and bold raw materials. The eye catching metallic bar with glowing neon quill sits effortlessly alongside the bricks with their muted tones and the bold herringbone floor. The luxurious fittings and furnishings help to create a space that effortlessly impresses for standalone cocktail receptions and networking events and when used alongside The Pasteur Room can provide a breakout space ideal for small exhibition stands.
ABOUT THE PASTEUR ROOM
The legendary French chemist Louis Pasteur visited the site of the Grubstreet Author in 1871 to investigate the problems of beer fermentation. The results he achieved from the on-site laboratory meant that beer was forever changed for the better, and if you’re responsible for vastly improving the nation’s beverage of choice you deserve to have a room named after you!
The Pasteur Room playfully juxtaposes traditional period features against raw elements that hint at the rooms’ industrial past. The stunning tin tiled roof, compliments the striking herringbone floor and commanding burnt iron chandelier to perfection. In conjunction with the creative cooking on offer it would be difficult to find a more impressive venue to host a private dinner and the setting will add character to any meeting or conference. The Pasteur Room can be used in conjunction with The Sample Room to create a separate reception space or host larger standing events.
