The Crazy Cow team were taken back in time last night. As we had a fantastic opportunity to explore Churchill war rooms and see the event space in full swing! We were greeted with a glass of elder-flower prosecco on arrival and guided through the silent corridors which spoke a thousand words and so much history unravelled as we were led to the fantastic event space.
Not only did we get to explore we also sampled the delicious food the venue had to offer! The food theme was even fitting!! Traditional British sausage and mash, hot beef rolls and we cannot forgot the cheese and crackers stand!! And that was only some of the food they had to offer! So not only enormous amounts of food, enormous amounts of history too! As the Churchill war rooms was a British government command centre throughout the Second World War!! It is also a biographical museum exploring the life of British statesman Winston Churchill.
Us Crazy Cows loved the event space as its perfect for meetings, dinners and parties!! It was great to have an insight to what is on offer! The theming was fantastic, ration books on tables, food served on hessian sacks and a Winston Churchill impersonator! Oh and a retro style singer to set the mood. There was even Polaroid cameras to capture the moments.
After we had discovered the different trenches and explored the whole museum we decided to go back to the event space before leaving…. We couldn’t leave without trying some of the desserts. Scones, Victoria sponge cakes and every other British sweet treat you could imagine. It was a fabulous showcase and we certainly left full and full of facts!!!
